El Gato Productions produces a number of family-friendly entertainment and educational media projects. In addition to our live stage productions, we create animation made for feature film, television, and music videos that deliver positive and age-appropriate messages for children in grades K-5.
Producing Meaningful Live Stage Production
Our “edu-tainment” live stage productions are designed to address significant matters that children may encounter, such as “bullying,” “disabilities,” and “all lives matter.” The characters from our films perform in live stage productions for young people worldwide. Our first performance deals with the increasing concern of bullying in the present society, with the entertaining Flashy Dancer as the spokesperson for these relevant issues.
Exploring Real Life Through Animation Media
Presentations that are both educational and enjoyable grab the attention of children. Our animation media and live stage productions provide them with valuable information in an entertaining presentation, like a song, dance, music video, or short movie. In the live stage production, we aim to reinforce and keep the “Stop the Bullying” banner flying high among students.
Strengthening Parent-Child and Teacher-Student Communication
El Gato Productions addresses the communication between parents and children and/or children and teachers. We offer a method to discuss serious, everyday life situations, including bullying, lying, health, peer pressure, rebellious behavior, and the Birds and the Bees. These topics are presented in an entertaining, engaging, and thought-provoking format.
Stop the Bullying, Respect Others
This unwanted aggressive behavior among school-aged children involves a real or perceived power imbalance. It is repeated or has the potential to be repeated over time. Bullying includes making threats, spreading rumors, attacking others physically and verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose.
According to a recent survey, about 30% of students in the US are involved in bullying on a regular basis, either as a victim, bully, or both. Moreover, the latest school bullying statistics show that cyberbullying is becoming prevalent on school properties, as well as involving students even when not at school. It takes place using electronic technology in the form of mean text messages or emails and rumors posted on social media platforms. Cyberbullying statistics reveal that about 80% of all high school students have been bullied in some fashion online. These increasing numbers are being attributed to youth violence, including both homicide and suicide.
