About Dr. Michael Grant

Dr. Michael Grant, born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, is the President/CEO of El Gato Productions. With his vast knowledge and expertise, he has successfully created an animated feature based on his animated music video and novel.

Educational Background

An educator, author, actor, singer, and songwriter, Dr. Grant holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, a master’s in Education Administration, and a doctorate in Education Administration and Institutional Management. In the educational field, he has served as a teacher, bilingual multicultural specialist, manager, administrator, and professor.

Additionally, Dr. Grant is a former ALL-City Gymnastics Champion, holding a black belt degree in Shotokan Karate, the oldest school in America. Dr. Grant also, is a Gold Medalist (Decathlon) in the Corporate Games sponsored by Sports Club/Irvine, California & 

Fitness Consulting Inc. Summer 1996.

Notable Collaborations in the Entertainment World

Dr. Grant has studied acting with prominent coaches Jeff Corey and Al Ruscio, as well as outstanding vocal trainer Seth Riggs, who has worked with more than 120 Grammy winners. These include Stevie Wonder, Barbara Streisand, Michael Jackson, Prince, Julio Iglesias, Tina Turner, Madonna, Natalie Cole, and Josh Groban.

Since 1984, Dr. Grant has been a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP). As a singer/songwriter, he teamed up with the late Bob Esty, a well-known producer/arranger for renowned artists including Barbara Streisand, Donna Summer, Dusty Springfield, Cher, and Fleetwood Mac. Moreover, he has experience working with celebrated H.B. Barnum, an arranger/musical director for Aretha Franklin, Barry White, Lou Rawls, and many others.

Further, Dr. Grant has worked with Brian Ross, the Chairman/CEO of the International Music Commission, U.S., and Starborn Records International, who was involved with the USA for Africa’s, “We Are The World” written by Michael Jackson & Lionel Richie; and produced by Quincy Jones & Michael Omartian, which raised more than $100 million.

Prestigious Grants and Awards

Beyond the entertainment scene, Dr. Grant has earned honors for his achievements as an educator. This includes the “International Peace Prize” for outstanding personal achievements for the good of society as a whole by the United Cultural Convention in the U.S. He was also awarded “Medal of Honor” and appointed Vice President of World Congress of Arts, Sciences and Communications. Additionally, Dr. Grant was awarded “The Statesman’s Award” and garnered the prestigious title “Ambassador of Grand Eminence” (A.G.E.) that carries with it Diplomatic worth and Nobel and Dignified connotations.

In 2006, Dr. Grant was recognized as “Educator of the Year” by the International Biographical Association. He was also inducted into the “Hall of Fame” and appointed Honorary Director General (DDG), which is recognized, respected, and honored worldwide. Since 1994, he has been listed in “Who’s Who of American Education.”
